[product introduction]
Ammonium polyphosphate, CAS No.: 68333-79-9, also known as ammonium polyphosphate or condensed ammonium polyphosphate (APP), is a non-toxic, tasteless, non corrosive gas, low moisture absorption, high thermal stability, excellent performance of non halogen flame retardant. It is a necessary fire retardant additive for all kinds of intumescent fire retardant coatings and flame retardant products. It can also be used for flame retardant of fiber, wood, rubber and plastic products, especially for polypropylene up to ul94-v0 used for manufacturing electronic components. The product is white powdery solid, with stronger anti hygroscopicity, alkaline pH value and low water solubility.
[Flame retardant mechanism]
App is dehydrated at high temperature to produce polyphosphoric acid or metaphosphoric acid, which can be used as a strong dehydrating agent to dehydrate with the carbonaceous substances in the flame retardant system to form a simple carbon layer. The expanded carbon layer is formed by the non combustible gas generated by the gas source, which can isolate the air, block the fire source and achieve the purpose of flame retardant.
