BDP is the English abbreviation of bisphenol a bis (diphenyl phosphate). It is an efficient flame retardant plasticizer. Compared with traditional non polymeric flame retardants, BDP has large molecular weight, high phosphorus content and symmetrical structure, which overcomes the problems of insufficient flame retardant effect and flame retardant durability of traditional phosphate flame retardants. It has the advantages of good flame retardancy, good compatibility with polymer substrate, migration resistance, volatilization resistance and lasting flame retardant effect. It is a kind of new products that began to appear in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
BDP structural formula
BDP flame retardant is a special halogen-free phosphorus flame retardant. In the early stage, due to the factors of low technical maturity, there are few domestic BDP flame retardant enterprises and small production capacity, so the domestic demand for BDP flame retardant products is mainly met through import. In recent years, with the breakthrough of technology, the competition pattern of BDP flame retardant in China has changed greatly.
In 2020, the actual global BDP production capacity will be 180000 tons. According to incomplete statistics, the capacity of the project under construction is 90000 T / A, and the new capacity is mainly concentrated in China. It is estimated that China's BDP capacity will reach 310000 T / A in 2023.
